The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions: honeysuckle for devotion, asters for patience, and red roses for love. The Language of Flowers is a story of 18 year old Victoria, who has just been emancipated after growing up in the foster care system. In finding her place in the world, she realizes she has a gift for helping others through the flowers she chooses for them. I found myself needing tissues and rooting Victoria on.
